Why does hair loss occur?

Well, generalized hair loss/hair thinning can occur due to a multitiude of factors, the most common being family genetics, environmental toxins, thyroid dysfunction, stress, low Vit D levels, iron deficiency, hormone imbalances, poor nutrition, and certain medications such as Vitamin A, cancer drugs, and radiation ect. 

A specific form of hair loss called alopecia occurs when the immune system actually attacks its own hair follicles which results in hair loss. This can be caused by several different factors including stress, hormone imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, other autoimmune diseases, low vit D levels etc.

How does Coco Grow work? In this treatment plan, Dr. Patel uses her state of the art Fotona Laser which uses photobiomodulation, a form of gentle deep heat to stimulate the stem cells of dormant hair follicles and encourages hair growth. The light energy from the Fotona Laser penetrates tissue, where it interacts with chromophores and induces a complex set of reactions that increases circulation, reduces inflammation, and helps restore normal cellular function. After Dr. Patel applies the Fotona Laser, your blood will be drawn and spun down in a centrifuge to separate your blood cells and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF). Once we have obtained the PRF, Dr. Patel will inject the fibrin into the areas of hair loss, which will help increase blood flow to the hair follicles, stimulate the growth of new hair follicles, and lengthen the anagen (active) phase of the hair cycle to promote new hair growth. It is recommended to have 5 treatments of our Fotona Laser and 3 treatments of PRF for optimal results!
