PDO Threads!

What are PDO Threads? PDO Threads are thin, hair-like medical grade absorable threads that can lift and tighten sagging skin. The threads are inserted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin using a small needle or cannula. This minimally invasive procedure uses threads with small anchors to attach to underlying skin and then pills upwards to lift and tighten the treated areas. PDO threads remain under the skin, helping to produce new collagen which will promote tight and firm looking skin. 

Who can get PDO Threads? Those looking to correct lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin are good candidates for thread lifts. If you are experiencing collagen depleted skin under the chin, nasolabial fold and cheeks, a PDO thread lift would be effective. 

Is there any downtime? Because this is a minimally invasive procedure, the recovery time is relatively short. Most patients can return to their daily activities after the procedure, though some bruising, inflammation, and discomfort may occur for a few days post-procedure. 

Side effects? If this procedure is not performed by a trained professional, it may result in thread protrusion and puckering of the skin. Other side effects include swelling, bruising, infection, pain at insertion site, and asymmetry (if not placed corrected). 

How long do results last? The threads will start to dissolve within 6-9 months, but the effects of the threads will last up to two years due to new collagen production within the skin.
